Fourth Round Summary Results Jubilee cup 26/06/26

Order of merit positions after round 4 are as follows with 5 players in the singles and 8 players in the pairs with 100% records played 4 won 4 but not all of these players have progressed to the round of 16 stage so the players on 3.5 and 3.0 points are still in with a realistic chance of order of merit glory.

Congratulations to each division winner and runner up. Commiserations to all the other teams but especially to my club Forrester Park who find themselves in the unfortunate position of winning 3 league games and still not qualifying. Very unlucky gents.

The round 16 match ups are shown below. Matches should be arranged to be played on the 4th or 5th, 11th or 12th, 18th or 19th July. Remember home teams must offer 2 dates on different weekends to the AWAY team.

Match result sheets need to be complete by BOTH teams no later than Monday 20th July. Quarter Final draws will be made as soon as all round of 16 matches have been played to a conclusion. A link will be put onto the spreadsheet page shown below

There has been some very very exciting matches in the later stages of qualifying but sadly, also forfeited games. This is hugely disappointing and we urge clubs to field teams even if they themselves can’t progress to the later stages. Not only to preserve the integrity of the competition but also to use these matches to have a look at some untried, younger players in readiness for the following season. With the removal of the age limit on players, there’s never been a better time to give some newer players the opportunity to experience proper matchplay golf, to prepare them for Jubilee Cup, Leslie Wood or even Thornton Cup in future seasons. It hasn’t been an issue for a couple of seasons and the committee takes a rather dim view of teams that fail to fulfill their match obligations.

Eligibility dates are 7 cards on or before in the previous 12 months…

Round of 16 - 20th June 2026

Quarter finals - 18th July 2026

Semi finals - 14th August 2026

Final - 4th September 2026
