October Newsletter

Hello All team Captains

This is the final newsletter to conclude the 2025 season.

Starting with a repeat of the plea, we are 3 volunteers that have enjoyed playing in the Jubilee Cup over the years and are doing our level best to maintain and develop the competition but at times it is a difficult task to be there for all the scheduled events.

In that regard we would welcome more volunteers to get involved with some aspects of the organisation and running of the events, the later stages of the competition are particularly difficult for just 3 people to cover and some other helpers at the semi-finals and final days would be very very welcome.

So if anyone, who has enjoyed playing in the competition and would like to get involved a bit in helping run aspects of it then please get in touch at jubileecup@yahoo.co.uk

If you’d like to discuss anything, please get in touch, we’d be delighted to talk you through the tasks we do.

Thank you in advance for any support you can give.

Onto this years final. This was held on September 28th at Rochford Hundred and played between Crondon Park and Wanstead.

Our thanks go out to Rochford who at very short notice provided a superb venue, excellent hospitality and some thrilling matchplay golf.

It was, in true Jubilee Cup tradition, a ding dong battle that went first one way and the the other but was throughout played in a hugely competitive but sporting manner. Congratulations go to Wanstead defeating Crondon Park 5.5 to 3.5 in a thrilling final played in great spirits on a fast difficult golf course in failing light. They are worthy winners and it great to see another first time winner of the trophy achieving the Jubilee Cup winners star ⭐️
